One week to go before this year’s team of “12 1/3” leaves for Atlantic City on August 10th to serve alongside New City Fellowship Church! This will be SOFM’s 14th summer team heading to AC! This year is special in a few ways… First our team is led by Rachel C… Rachel has gone with us to Haiti and this is her 3rd year going down to AC during the summer. Two years ago Rachel began to take on more responsibilities in a leadership position both during the summer trip and organizing day trips to AC.

This year she will be leading our team of 12 1/3 all by herself!! I say “12 1/3” because for the first time we have a couple going with us, Matt & Brina, and they will be bringing their 2 month old baby Levi! We will be doing a 3 night Bible Club back at Carver Hall. Many of us, having been there several times before, can’t wait to see the kids! Our days will be filled with a variety of service projects throughout AC all with the common goal of showing the love of Jesus while having a “flexible and pioneering” spirit!

It is such a blessing to see how God is raising up the next generation of leaders!

We appreciate your prayers while the team finishes their preparation this week and heads to AC next Saturday until the 16th. Thank you!!
