…And you will be My witnesses to the end of the earth… Acts 1:8
One of the many blessings a person receives when going on a mission trip comes from the relationships that are made…
And it is through those relationships that you will see God working in amazing ways!
Step of Faith has been helping Pastor Plator’s Christmas Shoebox ministry for the past 5 years. 5000 gift wrapped shoeboxes will be arriving at his church at the beginning of December and distributed to 5000 children who live in the 98 villages around Libonik, Albania. Leo was one such child who received a Christmas shoebox years ago and below is a short testimony of what God has been doing through him from then until now…
Leo has attended the Libonik Evangelical Church since he was a small boy. His testimony began with hearing the gospel when he received a Christmas shoebox. He helps the church with the weekly children’s programs, has preached sermons in Sunday Services, and has helped with many other church projects. In September, Leo had an opportunity to go on a mission trip to Sri Lanka. During his mission trip, he taught and gave his testimony at a three-day youth conference, met with several families, and shared his testimony with them and the church members. It was a blessing to have someone from our church go to another country to preach the gospel. [Leo is pictured here (on the right) while in Sri Lanka]
This ministry impacts so many lives… one child at a time… If you would like to help support this year’s Christmas Shoebox ministry you can…
1) Please pray for those who will be distributing the shoeboxes that will take them high in the mountains
2) Please pray for those who will receive them, that their hearts would be changed and they would receive Jesus
2) Help provide financial support to make this distribution possible
You can do this by clicking on WAYSTOGIVE / GENERAL and in the memo: Christmas Shoeboxes
We are praying for many more Leo’s!! We have been privileged to serve with Leo, worship with Leo and pray for him as God is raising him up and using him to spread the gospel near and far!
