On behalf of this year’s Atlantic City Mission Team, I would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support while we served along side New City Fellowship Church and Hope for Atlantic City. Over the past week we joined forces, along with an additional 44 missionaries, making our massive team 55 strong! With such a large team, we were able to accomplish many work sites in Atlantic City, including the interior painting of a house, and 4 different locations for Bible Camp.
Mary, along with her children and grandchildren, prayed with usĀ a coupleĀ mornings before we began putting a new coat of paint in her living room, dining room, hallway and bedroom. While our team of 12 painted her home, other team members worked on two other homes and a church within a 3 block area. This time each day gave the teams time to learn how to work together while we finished up the work sites that had been started at the beginning of the summer.
Three nights during the week we broke into 4 separate teams and brought the gospel to 4 neighborhood housing projects. Over 100 children each night heard the gospel through songs, skits, arts & crafts and games.
Our last day was set aside to invite some of the Bible Camp kids to the beach. We had about 20 children come with us that day. This gave us additional time to talk with them, get to know them, and share Jesus with them.
God is definitely using Pastor Santo, New City Fellowship and Hope for Atlantic City to change some of the worst areas of Atlantic City. The gospel of Jesus Christ is bringing hope, change and joy to many who once lived in darkness and hopelessness.
We are already planning our trip for next summer and hope you will join us!
Blessings,
Pam
