The 2015 AC Mission Team would like to thank everyone who prayed for our trip and helped to support our trip in many ways!

We returned last Friday full of many memories to share. Below are some of the highlights of this year’s trip…

Our team was made up of several local churches all coming together as the big ‘Church’ along side New City Fellowship Church and Hope for Atlantic City.

Our work projects included helping a couple of families by painting their homes, tearing out a kitchen due to water damage and painting and cleaning New City’s church building.

For the first time our team was able to host, along with a church from NC, a community BBQ in the parking lot of the church. What a wonderful way to connect with the community and introduce them to the local church body. The day was full of food, face painting, balloon animals, nail painting, water fights and so much more!

Our 3-night Bible Club brought us back to Caver Hall, a local apartment complex that our SOFM team first brought the gospel to 3 years ago. At that time we were told it was the ‘worst’ area in AC. This year was amazing!! We were greeted by many smiling faces from parents who were very grateful that we were there.  Likewise almost 30 children arrived on the tarp by night three and they were the most respectful, well behaved children we have ever had.

By night three our ‘clowns’ presented the gospel through the “Going to Heaven” skit and we know of two children who told us during craft time that they prayed to ask Jesus into their heart!

On Friday we were able to take 5 of the Carver Hall kids to the beach and enjoy one more day with them.

It is so evident that the commitment of the New City Fellowship Church is effecting the Atlantic City community for Jesus. We were just so blessed to have a small part in that again this summer.
