Prayers, songs and laughter was heard at the Allaire Community Farm last week as True Life Church of Brick hosted its first Bible Farm Adventure Camp for over 60 kids. This was the first time that True Life and Allaire Farms partnered together to provide a week long camp packed full of Jesus!
It took over 35 volunteers from True Life, Calvary Pres and Allaire Farms to provide the skits, songs, crafts, games, sports and farm adventures that taught the children all about the love of Jesus. With the theme being “The Good Shepherd” the children saw the Bible come to life whether they were feeding the animals in the petting zoo, collecting eggs, going on a scavenger hunt or hay ride or taking part in one of the original skits presented each day.
We invited many children from our Maple Leaf Tutoring Program to join us and about 20 of them showed up each morning for a ride to the farm. Thanks to St. Paul’s Methodist Church of Brick for the use of their van and Jerry who drove the kids back and forth each day. Many of the kids had never been on a farm, let alone around farm animals. It was beautiful to see how the animals and wide open spaces broke down walls allowing the love of Jesus to shine through.
It was such an exciting week to once again see the body of Christ working together to share the love of Jesus! If you haven’t visited Allaire Community Farm… go check it out! Thanks JoAnn & Sean!
