Hello Everyone,
During the months of August and September we will be collecting blankets for the children of Haiti.
You may not think “cold” when you think Haiti, however, during the winter months the temperature can drop from mid 90’s to low 70’s and, as I have experienced first hand, a cool chill fills the air during the night. Many children sleep on the dirt floor of their dwelling with little or no clothing, so a blanket would be a welcomed blessing. We plan to distribute the blankets in the Ounanminthe / Lac’ajue area.
We are looking for the following blankets:
NEW or USED
Throws
Fleeces
Small to Medium blankets (no queen or king size at this time)
Here are the drop off points:
Remedy Church Sunday Service – 10am at Brick HS, Brick
Action Gymnastics in Howell
My parents house in Somerville
If you are unable to drop off your blanket, please contact me through the blog. I will be picking up blankets on Mondays during the months of August and September.
Thank you!
Pam
