Hi Everyone!

As the summer is coming to a close and the new school year is beginning we have reason to celebrate in Haiti! When Step of Faith Ministry began (officially) in 2003, Bob Hager’s focus was to help the children of Haiti with education. This vision has continued… All of our students who are supported through SOFM have graduated to the next grade level! This is not taken lightly, since many of these students are first time students in their families. It is hard going to school in Haiti, with the on-going threat of gangs, hunger and diseases. However, because of our faithful donors and prayer warriors, our students continue to be successful.

This fall there are 18 students going into the next grade level through the giving of our SOFM supporters. Four of them are in college; for law, civil engineering and technology. One, Djeneka, has graduated from her last year of high school and is now in her “gap” year where she will serve (more) in the ministry while praying and deciding on what she wants to do for college. If you recall, Djeneka was just a child many years ago when we were visiting. It was during that time that she came to church on the morning that I was asked to speak. During the worship time, I felt the Lord tell me to change my message to “His faithfulness” and I did… on the spot, with no notes but the spirit to guide me. At the end of the service, Djeneka came forward to receive Jesus and during this time a demonic spirit came out of her. Seeing it all happen only increased my faith! Since that day, many of Djeneka’s family members have also come to faith! He IS faithful!!

Our students, along with others who graduated to the next grade level, enjoyed a beautiful day at the beach! Something that we started doing with the students many years ago when our teams were there, and have continued to send money each year for this time of celebration.
