This Saturday the St. Paul’s Methodist Team of Brick is headed back to Haiti! While in the country we will be involved with construction projects on the Aslan property that can include hooking up a water source from the existing well to the medical clinic. This is the final step needed to have the medical clinic fully operational. Even though the clinic has been open and doctor Donest has been seeing patients since July of 2015.
We are also providing a 4 day Bible Club, handing out needed supplies such as LuminAID solar lanterns and hygiene items, as well as the 50+ new sneakers that were collected and donated by Grace Methodist Church of Wykoff. Our team will participate in the distribution of rice and beans and visit one of the main schools where many of our sponsored students attend. We will also introduce a 3 hour art project by Aspiring Artists and Reborn Fashion, at Danita’s Orphanage. This art project will provide funds for each of the 30 children participating that will be placed into a trust fund. When the child reach the age of 18 they will be able to access this money to help provide further education or other needs that the orphanage sees as vital to the continuing growth of each student.
None of this would be possible without the grace of God and His leading along with the many who have supported the efforts of this team to go back to Haiti. Thank you for your prayers and support! We look forward to telling you all about what God does through this team when we return!
Just One Drop,
Pam
