MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

This Christmas season Step of Faith had the opportunity to help throw a Christmas party at the Maple Leaf Apartment Clubhouse in Brick. Along with other local churches and youth groups, this 1st Annual Christmas Party was a blast!

Since March we have been developing relationships with the students of Maple Leaf and invited them to an afternoon of celebration!

The first 2 hours of the day was devoted to the younger students, 1st t0 5th grade. With the wonderful planning of Beth & Jack Smith and their BIC youth group, the kids were blessed with many Christmas activities. Christmas caroling and Christmas stories were seen through out the afternoon. The kids were told of the True meaning of Christmas; the birth of Jesus Christ. Games such as ‘the snowball toss’ were received with much enthusiasm. The story of the Candy Cane and Christmas Tree were also told. Many desserts and hot chocolate were enjoyed through out the day. The kids had the opportunity to decorated a Christmas tree and were given a gift bag with a Bible and an activity booklet so that they could continue to learn about the birth of Christ.

The second 2 hours were devoted to the older students; 6th to 12th grade. The day started with Christmas caroling and a powerful message from Pastor Eric of Remedy Church. The students were then split into 3 groups and had a fun time “catching snowballs”, decorating and eating a Christmas cookie and making a wonderful Christmas present for someone special. There were more than enough desserts, hot chocolate and punch to go around. The kids also headed home with a bible and many great memories of a day full of celebration.
